Welcome to Drift County Roleplay! We are a dedicated community of roleplayers who strive to create immersive and enjoyable experiences for all members.
Server Rules
General Rules
You must have a working microphone and speak English.
We are an English-speaking server based in the United States, all forms of typing in Discord, TeamSpeak, and in the OOC and or /me chats must be typed out and conducted in English.
You must have a working functioning PC BEFORE applying.
You must get your interview done within 14 Days of joining the Interview Discord, failing to do so will result in removal from the Interview Discord.
Once approved, you have 14 Days (2 Weeks) to get your training for your department done, if you do not complete your training in 14 Days you will be removed from the community.
Any applicant who owns/co-runs/is staff on another server will not be allowed to apply or be a part of DCRP. No exceptions.
You must respect each other. We are all here to have fun and we take pride in having a ‘Toxic-Free’ zone on our server. Respect your fellow players and respect the staff.
You must not lie on any of the information on the application, except your first and last name, give us a Roleplay name but it has to be something close to an IRL name *not your IRL name* something like John Hancock, Kevin Love, etc.
No political discussions will take place on our server. You want to talk about politics? Go on a political forum. We are here to have fun and take a breather from everyday life not to be reminded about what's going on in it.
Please don’t ‘fanboy’, meaning don’t purposely try to force a scenario just to be on a video from one of our content creators.
You understand and acknowledge that we are not a 24/7 server. We have what's called scheduled roleplay times that start in the evenings about 4-5 days a week.
Any member who will not attend a patrol for 14+ days is expected to put a LOA that does not exceed 21 days, if he or she has been gone for 10+ days without putting an LOA form in they will be removed. If your LOA exceeds 21 days then you will be removed on ‘Good Standing’ and will be asked to reapply. DCRP staff will NOT reach out to members to see ‘where they have been’, it is your responsibility to inform us.
Members must react if they are attending the roleplay session and must unreact if they are not coming. This is not optional, this is required.
Making fun or ‘poking fun’ of anyone with a disability is an automatic suspension for a week. This includes but not limited to anyone with a speech impairment, physical disability, etc.
Any member who’s soliciting another server invites, or has been solicited by someone else to join another server, is extremely prohibited and must be reported to staff immediately at the time of the incident. Any member not reporting this can lead to punishable offenses.
In-Game Rules
No RDM/VDM.
No stealing or carjacking any Emergency Service Cars without approval.
New Life Rule applies, meaning if you were to get shot and EMS determined you were killed/DOA then you cannot go after the person that shot you once you respawn.
You are allowed to create up to 5 characters, if a character dies or gets killed you must wait a week to create a new one, meaning for that week you will have to roleplay with your other character.
Downplaying your injuries (For example you got ejected out of the car at 110 MPH) but then you write in OOC ‘/OOC only my legs broke, I fell on my legs’ is against the rules, that's obviously not realistic.
If you were to get robbed and the person has a gun on you cannot magically pull a gun out of thin air, use the ‘Value Your Life’ rule in a situation like that, IRL you would probably put your hands up, let them rob you and call it a day, do the same here.
Green Zones are CRIME-FREE areas. Green zones are areas designated by staff where you cannot rob, kill, or hurt people. Green zone examples include Hospitals, Police Stations, Garages, Spawn Points UNLESS a scene starts outside the Green Zone. The player is only using the Green Zone as a method of escape or to hide.
Cop baiting is strictly against the rules. Cop baiting can include parking across the street from a traffic stop to get the cops' attention. Doing burnouts in front of cops, constantly honking your horn at them, randomly yelling things out like ‘I got drugs on me officer’, etc. Be natural and make the scenario organic, trust me our LEOs want to roleplay with you too, but not forced interactions. This also applies to starting conflicts/shootouts with LEOs for almost no reason are against the rules. We are not a CIV vs LEO Server.
Absolutely no sexual roleplay such as rape, sexual abuse, sexual assault, anything that may offend sexual orientations, etc. - this is a big no-no for us.
No roleplay that highly mimics real life. Example: School shootings, hospital shootings, suicide, etc.
META Gaming is strictly prohibited. META gaming includes using out-of-game information for in-game advances. In other words, knowledge that you gained without RPing.
When you get PITTED (PIT) in a car while you are evading the cops you have to roleplay that your car has stalled after the PIT is successful, failure to do so will result in abandoning the scene.
‘Ambush RP’ on LEOs is highly against the rules. What this means is once a LEO is occupied on a scene you cannot sneak up from behind them and shoot them, if they are doing their tasks (on the radio, on the CAD). For example, you attempt to rob a store and have a member stay on the outside to ambush the LEOs once their attention is strictly on the store, this also includes but not limited to shooting LEOs on a traffic stop without any warning, or any previous roleplay scenario that took place to get to that point.
‘Over Reaching’ RP is not allowed. This includes LEOs making up cameras that don’t physically exist in the game to collect evidence. If it’s not physically there, then LEOs cannot perform any “WDIF” and or CIVs going out of their way to start a conflict inorganically.
Players cannot jump in the water and swim away as a form of ‘getting away/escaping’ from the police. The only time this can be done is if it's a swim that is less than 20 seconds to get across to the other side of land. For example, from one side walk to the other.
P.T.T (Push To Talk) for In-Game Voice Chat is required by all players. You cannot have voice activity on. Players with extremely loud mics and or distracting background noise will be asked to tone it down.
If an LEO is investigating your scene (either from a current patrol or a previous patrol) and types to you in the chat regarding a particular element of your scene, then you must respond with what they find within that investigation. (Failure to do will result in a kick for FRP)
Walking around the map 24/7 with a mask on for no reason is not allowed. Masks are only allowed to be worn during committing a crime.
You must only select a spawn outside of the ‘Last Location’ (Such as Sandy or Legion) ONLY if you’re starting patrol for the day. However, all members are expected to spawn in the ‘Last Location’ if they are relogging, crashed, etc. specially if they are already part of a scene. Failure to do so will be considered FRP.
